Speculation led some to believe that Boeing was teasing a space airplane or VTOL aircraft, but the big reveal was the company's MQ-25 competition entry. Last week Boeing tweeted a short video clip demonstrating a mysterious aircraft. Speculation had it that this was the company's new space aircraft — but as Boeing revealed, the aircraft is actually an unmanned refueler to provide refueling capabilities and extended combat range for the Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, Boeing EA-18G Growler, and Lockheed Martin F-35C fighters.
